Maxx Tech - MX40 LED Multiplatform Gaming Headset

The Maxx Tech MX40 is a budget gaming headset designed for gamers seeking multiplatform compatibility without breaking the bank. At just £12.99, it offers remarkable value with 40mm stereo drivers that provide decent sound clarity for identifying in-game audio cues. The lightweight design and premium cushioning make it suitable for longer gaming sessions, while the adjustable microphone and quick volume controls add practical convenience. However, buyers should be aware that the USB connection serves only to power the LED lighting effects, not audio, which relies on the 3.5mm jack. As a newly released product from August 2025, there are limited verified user reviews to assess long-term durability and real-world performance. For casual gamers on a tight budget who need basic multiplatform functionality, this headset represents solid value, but serious gamers might want to invest in higher-tier options with proven track records and better build quality.
