Rayman Origins wordt geprezen om zijn prachtige, handgetekende graphics en vloeiende animaties. De platformactie is uitdagend en gevarieerd, met veel geheime gebieden en verzamelobjecten die zorgen voor veel herspeelbaarheid. De lokale coöp-modus tot vier spelers maakt het extra leuk, maar kan soms chaotisch zijn. Het verhaal is zwak en niet erg memorabel, en sommige spelers ervaren een plotselinge, frustrerende moeilijkheidspiek in de latere levels. Over het algemeen is het een van de beste 2D-platformers van zijn generatie, vooral voor liefhebbers van klassieke platformgames.

My kids LOVE this game!! It's to them what Mario Bros was to my generation. They replay their favorite levels over and over. This makes it well worth the money compared to other games that get played once and then end up on a shelf untouched.

It is a shame this game has not been recognised more which it should be. I suppose people nowadays want shooters and the like. But this is a real hidden gem This game is so wacky at first I had no idea what was going on. But it is so addictive I lost track of time on so many occasions trying to collect so many of them gold items to get more of them pink things whatever they are called. It is challenging as well which platformers seem to have lost the challenge and made it easy for kids. This is a game for all ages and Ubisoft have made one of the best games to come out on the Xbox 360 or just that generation of consoles in general.
