Far Cry New Dawn offers a colorful twist on the post-apocalyptic setting with vibrant visuals and solid shooting mechanics, but struggles with underdeveloped villains who mostly yell over radios. The game shines with its late-game superhuman abilities that completely transform combat, allowing players to jump higher, turn invisible, and rush enemies at super speed. However, these powers arrive too late to be fully appreciated. The 20-30 hour campaign includes new Expeditions to diverse US locations and base-building elements that tie progression together well. Story missions can feel mundane with repetitive turret sequences, and character development suffers throughout.
