Far Cry Primal valt op door zijn unieke steentijdsetting en prachtige graphics. Het temmen van dieren als gameplaymechaniek wordt vaak geprezen en zorgt voor afwisseling. De open wereld is groot en biedt veel te ontdekken, maar het hoofdverhaal en de schurken zijn minder memorabel dan in eerdere delen. De beperkte wapens en uitrusting kunnen de gameplay wat repetitief maken. Veel zijmissies zijn fetch-quests zonder veel diepgang, waardoor het spel soms richting mist. Voor liefhebbers van open-wereld actie en dieren is het echter een interessante keuze.

The game is fun but I had a few issues. I prefer 3rd person view (that's on me for not realizing it was 1st person), the map lacks enough details and ability to zoom in very far, there is a glitch that sometimes happens during grappling where you have to fast travel to get out of it, I didn't enjoy having to read all subtitles and the storyline isn't super compelling. Some things I liked were the diversity of the landscapes, being able to tame and use animals and being in the caveman era.

Honestly, I don’t know what people were on about. This is the best far cry game I have played. The storyline is class, music is awesome, side quests are fun, and there’s a huge stealth bonus to the game! I was able to 100% it in 2 weeks, and I almost never 100% games. I only had to grind one achievement, as everything else was accomplished through the main story.

Excellent game with lots of action and availability to replay at a more difficult level. The game also has excellent graphics and online capability.
