The entire game was awesome! Writing is great, art style is beautiful, and narrative is well told for a Mario game. I only had a gripe with the game being a little on the easy side, just not all the time thankfully.

The paint mechanic is a great way to play with the paper asthetic. And the humor remains a big part of the series.

not what I expected but my kids really like this game so 4 stars overall. there doesn't seem to be a lot of excitement in the game, kind of confusing for little kids to navigate but ages 8+ seem to have no trouble.
