Detective Pikachu Returns (AUS)

Excellent product my grandson loved it for his birthday.

The game didn’t glitch or have any bugs. The story was pretty identical to the movie. It is predictable what happens next. While I was playing I found myself falling asleep at parts. If you are an older Pokémon fan you won’t like it, if you are a kid 12 and under it will keep the kiddos occupied.

I didn't experience a single bug in the 16 hours of gameplay. I found the characters charming and written decently. Aaaand that's where my praise ends. The story has been criticised to the fact that if you watched the movie, you know the game. I personally didn't mind this during my playthrough, but you very well might. The graphics look like they were upscaled from the 3ds for most of the gameplay. The gameplay lacks in the sense of challenge or fun. BUT I still give this 4 stars. I don't read often, but this game had me HOOKED. I was reading EVERY bit of dialogue, EVERY bit of lore. Every side quest has a story after the fact in the newspaper. I love that. I wasn't in it for the QTE events, or the stealth sections. I was there to get Tim and his Pikachu detective pal to the end of the story. I played this game in 2 sessions of 7 and 9 hours. If that doesn't mean this deserves at least a 3 star (4 for reasons stated above), I don't know what does.

Ik had dit spel voor mijn dochter van 8 gekocht, helaas kan die geen Engels en is het spel dus onspeelbaar voor haar. Ik ben het zelf maar gaan spelen maar ben tot drie keer toe in slaap gedommeld erbij. Het is vooral veel dialogen waar je dan conclusies uit moet trekken, niet echt heel spannend.

This one is a bit more complex then the first detective pickachu. Im only 1/4 way into it and I'm enjoying it
