The way the game never underestimates the player, how it gives a lot of options of doing things differently, how the story really ties the choices you make regarding saving/killing characters, the twists, the story, gameplay, unique mechanics, it nods to the player, it challenges the player, but mostly... it SEES the player. i'm appalled that I can never experience this again for the first time, but i'll sure tell everyone i can that i did. MASTERPIECE!

A true masterpiece. Almost 10 years later it's still super enjoyable. My gaming sessions usually last about 30 minutes, but with Prey each one lasted at least 2 hours, since it makes you want to know more and more about the plot and the various sub-plots. Also, the maps is huge and it's never boring to explore. I also liked the combat system, which i think is well balanced.

I had tried Prey on gamepass once upon a time, but almost imediately bounced off of it. Yet I kept hearing high praise. Eventually grabbed it on a GOG sale. It took a while for me to get imersed but once the game had me it didnt let go. The sense of exploration and finding little secrets, or hidden stories was incredible. Had me reading all the emails, and looking for notes to try and sus out ways into rooms and areas. I did have one quest bug out on me and it wouldnt let me finish. Pretty disapointing bug, but was the only blight on my experience. Sad they killed Arcane, because this game is a masterpeice.

I very much enjoyed the game, did not get frustrated enven though I died lots of times, the music is AWESOME, the intro is GREAT even though I bought this game years after it came out and I think I got the intro spoiled on a let's play I really enjoyed it when I played it. Actually playing the game is great you start playing differently and getting scared of any objed that moves weird LOL, if you're on the fence as to wether or not to buy it yes go ahead I don't regret buying it even though I never got into the Hype I see on youtube.
