LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 delivers classic LEGO gameplay wrapped in Marvel's universe, offering an extensive roster of characters with diverse abilities that make exploration genuinely enjoyable. The Chronopolis open world impressively spans multiple time periods and locations. However, the game struggles with technical issues including clunky controls, unreliable AI partners, and particularly poor split-screen implementation that diminishes the co-op experience. Loading times can be lengthy, and objectives sometimes lack clarity. Families and Marvel fans will find plenty to enjoy despite these limitations, but those seeking polished mechanics may be disappointed. The game works best in single-player or with a patient co-op partner willing to overlook technical shortcomings for the sake of lighthearted superhero adventure.

I picked this up in the store, and although it is labeled “new” it was in an envelope and the store employee told me the case had been stolen and it was the last one. So I have to give it to my kid in an envelope for Christmas. However the employee was very sweet and obviously felt sorry this had happened.

My son really enjoyed the game. He’s 8 yrs old but he plays with his 14 yr old cousin for hours. Lots of fun for both of them.
