Troll and I is a deeply flawed action-adventure game that fails to deliver on its promising concept of a boy befriending a mythical creature. Multiple reviews consistently highlight severe technical problems including outdated graphics, frequent glitches, game crashes, and poor framerate performance. The gameplay suffers from repetitive puzzles, excessive backtracking through confusing environments without a map, and clunky platforming controls that lead to frustrating deaths. Combat is simplistic and boring with only three enemy types and poor AI. The story lacks emotional impact despite attempting to emulate games like The Last Guardian.
