Valkyria Chronicles valt op door zijn unieke gevechtssysteem dat strategie combineert met actie, waardoor elke missie anders aanvoelt. Het verhaal en de karakters zijn sterk uitgewerkt, maar het plot is soms wat voorspelbaar. De AI van de tegenstander is niet altijd uitdagend, wat het spel makkelijker maakt dan verwacht. Qua speelduur en extra content zit je goed, maar wie op zoek is naar een diepe multiplayer-ervaring komt bedrogen uit. Al met al een aanrader voor liefhebbers van strategie en verhalende games, maar niet zonder kleine minpunten.

The hand-drawn graphics style is refreshing and beautiful. I really like the battle system. It's turn based but also has real time counterattacks. The story is engaging as well.

Finally got around to playing this one. Very visually pleasing. Lots of fun characters to choose from. Very addictive turn based gameplay. Not very challenging but very fun none the less.
