De uitgebreide aanpassingstools laten spelers hun eigen spelers en banen creëren. De besturing is echter complex en vereist tijd om onder de knie te krijgen, wat casual spelers kan afschrikken. Verschillende recensies melden animatieproblemen waarbij spelers onverwacht teleporteren of ballen laten gaan die haalbaar lijken. De online modus kampt met aanzienlijke vertragingsproblemen die het spel frustrerend maken. Ondanks deze tekortkomingen wordt het beschouwd als de beste tennissimulatie van deze consolegeneratie voor spelers die bereid zijn de leercurve te overwinnen.

I brought this game on February 11, 2020. I played it over the weekend and after a few matches it was fun and I hit my first ace too. To conclude, I wish the career had more styles that is more suited for people of color. Also, Bell should be a play by play name I was disappointed that it wasn't an option.

After a few matches, you should have enough skills to get out of the futures bracket - the game is an interesting way to think through constructing points for actual court play.

It’s a fun game on the court but it lacks any real depth or variety beyond it to keep you coming back for more. The story is bare bones, the career is soul-less, and the training games are a complete waste of time. Game is moving in the right direction but it is not currently a must-own.

Player movement and responsiveness is some of the worst seen this console generation. Virtually unplayable at times but has the potential to be at least “good” with future iterations. Game needs a serious overhaul on the ball physics and collision detection, plus sliders to make the ai play more like human beings and less like robots with the reaction speed and erratic movement of a tarantula. Hard pass on this one.
