De iHealth Wave is een eenvoudige en betaalbare activity tracker, vooral sterk in het meten van zwemmen en stappen. Het apparaat is waterdicht, comfortabel en makkelijk te gebruiken. De slaaptracking en het inactiviteitsalarm worden vaak geprezen. Een nadeel is dat activiteiten zoals fietsen en andere niet-stap oefeningen niet goed worden geregistreerd. Geavanceerde fitnessfuncties en hartslagmeting ontbreken, waardoor het minder geschikt is voor intensieve sporters.

I've been disappointed with this gadget. I wanted something to wear in the pool and it does tick that box. I was unaware that it also monitors how long you sleep at night and what percentage of that is deep sleep. I think it's pretty accurate at that as far as I can estimate. Those are the pluses. However, I'm now certain that it does not count all the steps I take when walking. Yesterday I parked my car in a multi-storey car park and walked about a third of a mile to the far end of the town without anything extra showing on my wave device. The other huge minus is getting the display to show when you want it to. I can practically shake my hand off without effect but later suddenly it will show readings when I've done nothing to prompt it. Weird. Not worth buying.

Both of the straps have worn through in a relatively short amount of time. I'm struggling to contact the seller to request a new strap.

I'm not convinced I trust the results of my I wave. For one I swim front crawl and it logs it as breast stroke. Also it does not pick up back stroke. I always swim an even number of lengths due to getting in and out of pool at same end But it always across me having swam an odd number of lengths. It also does not buzz when I have swam my target time. I probably should get onto the support sure. But that doesn't look easy neither..

Not impressed. Swan for 30 minutes breast stroke. IHealth recorded 20 minutes front crawl. Waste of money.

Utterly awful. Intermittent response to wrist rotation or screen touch. Sent it back once because I thought it was broken, but the next one they sent was the same. Infuriating to use, didn't have it long enough to test on the pool. Don't waste your time or money.
