AC/DC Blu-ray - Live At River Plate - voor Geen - standaard - Maat Standard

Wow, the sound was so good it sounded and felt like I was at the concert on my sound system. AC/DC was phenomenal. The video was excellent. This is a must own if your an AC/DC fan.

I'm a huge fan of ACDC. I bought everything they have in DVD. I want to turn up the sound and imagine that I am there in concert. Some of the DVD's are disappointing in sound. With today's better technology the River Plate DVD is good (in relation to the other concerts). So I purchased River Plate in blu ray to see the difference. There is a definite improvement. The DVD delivers in sound but the crowd and instruments are mashed together and they seem distant. There is improvement in blu ray. The guitars are distinct and the surround effect is fantastic. The experiment of comparing the DVD and blu ray was beneficial. I saw them in Ontario in 2009. Excellent concert!! The blu ray achieves the effect that they you are there in concert. I recommend the upgrade to blu ray. I will purchase other ACDC blu rays and post more comparisons.

I haven´t seen AC/DC live since 1988 Blow Up Your Video -tour. Because of this River Plate blu-ray I finally realized, that magic of AC/DC is strongly based on their drummer´s Phil Rudd`s (Phillip Rudzevecuis, Lithuanian descent) amazing sense of making music (and the rest of the band is equally tallented). I saw live in Donington some time ago and wasn´t impressed much and that´s because Phil was not there. So actually this blu-ray was to me first time I saw band in correct "original" formation playing live. And how can I put this on words? It was amazing, just amazing experience but even more. Something that I can not describe. Something special. Because of big hype of AC/DC nowadays, I almost had forgotten how superb band it really is. And the way they captured this concert will be BIG part of history of rock and roll in future. Don´t miss this one!

they may be older in this performance but they can still bring it. i saw them twice on this tour and this disc lives up to those performances. video quality is great. audio is good as well. agree with most things that have already been written here. this one is very highly recommended!

Did I get a hold of a different disc? This is hands down one of the top 5 concerts I have out of the 140 BD concerts currently in my collection. The sound is phenomenal and better than the other 3 AC/DC BD's out there currently. "No Bull" is Second followed by "Donington" and then of course "Let There Be RocK". You can crank this one way up and it is still clean and clear. Brian's voice is better than on "No Bull" as well. Video is also excellent. To me, this one is perfect. Right out there with the Porcupine Tree BD.
