De Philips Fidelio FS1 draadloze speaker biedt een indrukwekkende geluidskwaliteit met heldere hoge tonen, warme middentonen en diepe bas. Het apparaat is flexibel inzetbaar: als losse speaker, stereo paar of als onderdeel van een surround-systeem. Streaming via Bluetooth, AirPlay 2, Chromecast en DTS Play-Fi wordt ondersteund, inclusief hi-res audio. De Ambilight verlichting zorgt voor extra sfeer, vooral in combinatie met een Philips TV. Het design is luxe en de materialen zijn van hoge kwaliteit. Nadelen zijn de relatief hoge prijs, de complexiteit van het Play-Fi ecosysteem en dat Ambilight vooral een visueel extraatje is zonder invloed op het geluid. Over het algemeen is dit een uitstekende keuze voor wie premium geluid en design zoekt, maar minder geschikt voor wie een eenvoudige, betaalbare speaker wil.

I acquired two of these speakers to create a 5.1 system with my recently acquired Philips TAB8505 2.1ch ATMOS Soundbar W/L. I'm very impressed set up was easy and they were working within a few minutes following a short software update when first turned on. They are placed behind my sofa about 4 metres from the sound bar, the connection has be solid and the sound is great. The ambilight is an added perk and can connect with my amblight tv.

[Employee of philipsglobal] I purchased two speakers to use in stereo mode. Although already great sound quality when using a single speaker, in stereo mode it even gets better. Few improvement points: integrate the power supply into the housing (when I use it on my kitchen island I don't like the clutter) and make the Spotify Jam mode with multiple phones as source more robust; it sometime blocks the speakers and a hard reset is needed (power off and on).

Leuk, maar de website van Philips vermeld meer dan ze waar kunnen maken. Koppelen aan een soundbar ? Nee, niet mogelijkKoppelen aan je TV? Ja, maar dan stopt alle andere functionaliteitEen surround effect met de FB1 soundbar en Philips TV is alleen mogelijk als je DTS Play-fi activeert vanaf je TV. Activeer je DTS Play-fi dan:- stopt bluetooth- stopt wifi ontvangst - stopt HDMI ontvangst op je FB1De FB1 en deze TAFS1 is niet direct mogelijk. Dus met je KPN kastje via HDMI naar de radio luisteren kan alleen op de FB1, er zal nooit geluid uit deze speakers gaan komen in dat geval.

I tried to connect a Philips OLED 837 with a TAFB1 and two TAFS1. If I use Play Fi either on the TV or combine the speaker in the app, the ambilight does not sync with the TV. As soon as the speaker is grouped as stereo or home cinema, it is not available as a single device anymore. So how is it supposed to work? As a single speaker, it has a very good sound and even one speaker can easily fill a room.
