De OM SYSTEM OM-5 Mark II body is een lichte, robuuste camera met uitstekende 5-assige beeldstabilisatie en veel creatieve functies zoals Live ND en High Res Shot. Dankzij de IP53-classificatie is hij goed bestand tegen weer en wind, wat hem ideaal maakt voor buitengebruik. De autofocus werkt snel, maar mist moderne onderwerpdetectie, wat een nadeel is voor sport- of dierenfotografie. De sensor en processor zijn niet vernieuwd, waardoor de beeldkwaliteit vergelijkbaar is met de vorige generatie. De batterijduur is gemiddeld en bij hoge ISO-waarden presteert de camera minder goed dan full-frame modellen. Voor wie een compacte, veelzijdige en weerbestendige camera zoekt, is dit een sterke keuze, maar wie de nieuwste autofocus-technologie of top beeldkwaliteit zoekt, moet elders kijken.

Very happy with both the camera and lens up to now, still a bit new with the Micro / system but i think i"m getting there. Very pleased with Harrisons for a smooth transaction and will certainly use them again in future.

Still familiarising myself with the camera but my initial feelings are that it is a high quality piece of kit. Having owned the Olympus OM-D-E mark iii being able to easily find options and settings with the new menus is wonderful and doubtless, as I have already done, I will find options that I didn't know existed on the earlier camera. Glad that I made the trade in!!

Very compact and lightweight. (People with big hands may struggle.) Gives excellent results and is easy to use once you have navigated the many menus. Two minor downsides it’s very easy to catch the arrow pad whilst using the camera and the cover for the USB socket is quite flimsy.
