De Olympus OM-5 Mark II Body Silver is een compacte, lichte en weerbestendige systeemcamera die uitblinkt in gebruiksgemak en beeldstabilisatie. De camera levert mooie kleuren en scherpe beelden, en biedt veel creatieve mogelijkheden zoals art-filters en computational photography. Nadelen zijn de beperkte prestaties bij weinig licht, het ontbreken van geavanceerde autofocus voor dieren, en slechts één SD-kaartsleuf. De sensor en het scherm zijn niet vernieuwd ten opzichte van het vorige model. Voor wie een draagbare en veelzijdige camera zoekt, is dit een sterke keuze.

Still familiarising myself with the camera but my initial feelings are that it is a high quality piece of kit. Having owned the Olympus OM-D-E mark iii being able to easily find options and settings with the new menus is wonderful and doubtless, as I have already done, I will find options that I didn't know existed on the earlier camera. Glad that I made the trade in!!

Very compact and lightweight. (People with big hands may struggle.) Gives excellent results and is easy to use once you have navigated the many menus. Two minor downsides it’s very easy to catch the arrow pad whilst using the camera and the cover for the USB socket is quite flimsy.

The OM-5 Mark II is one of the most affordable mirrorless cameras you can get with full IP53 weather protection, but lags behind entry-level alternatives when it comes to imaging prowess.
