De Leica D-Lux 8 biedt een premium bouwkwaliteit, een scherpe zoomlens en een verbeterde elektronische zoeker. De bediening is intuïtief en DNG raw-opname is handig voor bewerking. Nadelen zijn het ontbreken van echte vernieuwing ten opzichte van de D-Lux 7, een vast scherm en trage zoom. De beeldkwaliteit is goed, maar bij hoge ISO's neemt ruis snel toe. Ideaal voor liefhebbers van compactcamera's met klassieke bediening, minder geschikt voor wie veel innovatie of topprestaties bij weinig licht zoekt.

This camera ia a little pricey but totally worth it: easy to carry around for those all day walk-abouts. I was worried only about 2 things: the size of the 4/3 sensor and image sharpness, and low light image capture...no worries! I absolutely love this camera!

The Leica D-Lux 8 is unquestionably the best value-for-money camera in the Leica family. Image quality is magnificent, with the iconic look the brand is famed for. It's not perfect, but it's the cheapest way of getting that iconic style, and that's a great thing, indeed.

I know it’s not a true Leica camera but I love this compact camera. The images are beautiful and the menus easy to navigate. The app makes it even more fun. I was looking for an everyday camera and this fit the bill. It was shipped quickly and arrived in perfect condition.

The camera I’ve searched my entire life for. A proper Leica but small enough to take everywhere. Intuitive and excellent in every way. Also, first class service from Clifton. I hit a technical hitch and they couldn’t have been more helpful.
