De Turtle Beach Atom is een compacte, draagbare controller speciaal voor Android-telefoons. Dankzij het magnetische ontwerp neem je hem makkelijk overal mee naartoe. De batterij gaat tot 20 uur mee en is snel opgeladen. De knoppen en sticks voelen vertrouwd aan voor console-gamers en de Bluetooth-verbinding is stabiel en snel. Let op: de controller werkt niet met iOS en past niet op telefoons met dikke hoesjes. Ook kun je je telefoon niet opladen tijdens het gamen en ligt de prijs hoger dan bij veel andere mobiele controllers. Over het algemeen is het een goede keuze voor wie veel onderweg gamet, maar houd rekening met deze beperkingen.

Heb twee controllers gehaald, ze zijn mooi, liggen goed in de hand. Helaas werkt bij allebei controllers de rechter helft niet meer. De rechterkant kan niet meer verbinden met de linkerkant (bluetooth). Op de site van turtle beach, niets over terug te vinden om dit om te lossen of resetten.

The Turtle Beach Atom is a controller that does plenty right. The buttons are excellent, and if you're not bothered about being able to charge your phone while you game, the battery life is stellar. However, the feeling of your phone not being totally secured caused by Turtle Beach trying something different with the design serves as a reminder that sometimes the Status Quo exists for a good reason.
