Originally used stock cooler for Skt1200 I9-10900 but found the noisey constantly changing fan speed under load very annoying, bought this more for noise reduction than temperature concerns, it has worked great for both, I no longer ever hear the fan and where it was in the 60s before its now in the 30s, I like that the bracket is all metal as I have had coolers before where the plastic brackets go brittle and break over time, not too fiddly to fit, they supply a screwdriver that fits through a hole in the top of the cooler to allow tightening the more difficult side, worth noting that the cooler is very tall, fits in my case *just*, so worth checking clearance.

I was using the standard Wraith cooler that came with my Ryzen 5 3600. I got me out of the gate but under stress tests it was around the 85-88 c mark. This cooler has taken it down to 67-68. The Be Quiet fan does exactly what it say on the tin, as a result I'll be replacing the rest of my fans with those as the noise reduction is significant.

I bought this for an MSI AMD micro ATX motherboard in a mini tower case with limited clearance above the CPU. It is just the ticket with plenty of room, so thats good. The printed fitting instructions for AMD are atrocious, lookup and use the Youtube video instead. It took me ages to figure out how to get the screws inplace to screw the cooler to the motherboard attachment. The trick is to put them into the locking bar before threading it through the cooling fins. On a microATX board the cooler overhangs the DRAM with only a few mm to spare, so you need to have memory in place before you fit, and you wont want anything fancy on top of the memory like LEDs. Upgrading memory later will require removing the cooler and refitting, so in my case I bought enough to last me several years.

Well built and easy to set up, comes complete with a screwdriver that fits through the frame to screw in tge final connection. We'll engineered.

The Be Quiet range of products have alweays been a reliable remedy to noisy Desk top PC's. If Scan can recommend them, who am I to disagree.
