Drilling into solid cement was fast and easy. I was impressed as I am with all Makita products.Sadly I saw it on an auction site for $30 less but I needed 2 day shipping as I had a job I needed this tool on coming up in 3 days

Smoked it on the first day. It's more money, but check out the Hitachi DH24PF3. That 's what I replace the Makita with and it's well worth the extra cash. At least it will save you time on boxing up a busted drill and sending it back.

I bought this just to have in case I needed it. Bad idea. Took it off the shelf, 2 holes, drill locked up. Warranty is joke, Service is concept makita doesn't understand.

No matter what I'm drilling, the chuck on this drill never stays tight. Key fits poorly and bits keep falling out. More trouble than it's worth
