XGIMI Horizon Pro

Good luck receiving your "free" stand. I redeemed the code for the free stand over 2 weeks ago. I still havent gotten it. Contacted xgimi customer support and they say they know nothing about a free stand and to contact sams. Contact sams and I'm told to contact the manufacturer because thats who will send it.

I've owned the xgimi h1 and h2 also this model horizon pro. They last about 2 to 2 1/2 years before the dreaded dead pixel syndrome. After that the brightness starts to diminish Good projector if you plan on buying another in a couple years Full disclosure, I use this projector ALOT. Used as television. Up to 8 hrs a day.

The XGIMI HORIZON Pro is an okay choice for movies as long as you're watching in a dim room. It's bright enough to look decent with the lights down, but it washes out quickly once you start turning lamps on, so it isn't a great living room lights-on projector. Contrast is also a limitation: it holds up better in brighter scenes, but darker content looks flatter, and blacks don't stay convincingly deep. Out of the box, color accuracy is lacking, but it improves a lot with calibration, and its wide color gamut helps once it's dialed in, even if the projector's brightness limits how much those colors truly pop.

Most of the setup is automated which is fortunate because the low contrast gray on white tiny font documentation is pretty thoughtless. You will need the stand. The projector has no traditional feet so why the stand isn't normally included is a mystery. You'd be stuck with propping the projector up to get it into a usable position. I researched this projector and am surprised this wasn't mentioned. You must link the remote to the projector before it functions. You also shift the pointers around to each corner to manually tweak the keystone adjustments. Could've saved a half hour of stumbling around if these were made clear upfront on a quick start sheet. The picture is great so far. Through Google it automatically found my router and set everything up. Nice.
