Viewsonic Px701-4k Projector

The ViewSonic PX701-4K is acceptable for watching movies. Its native contrast is mediocre, as it performs well in bright scenes but struggles in dark content. Its brightness is decent, and it can handle a few dim lights. Unfortunately, the projector drops the ball when it comes to color, as its colors are dim, its color gamut isn't very wide, and its color accuracy is wildly inaccurate out of the box. Plus, you can barely improve it with calibration.

We purchased this projector several months ago. We use this projector in our large Conference room/Training lab. The room is 20'x30' and the image is crisp and clear from anywhere in the room. We needed a projector with 2 HDMI inputs and we have no issues so far with this unit. Microcenter is great in that they will pull the merchandise for us and have it ready at will call when we arrive.

Easy to setup and the picture and color is great, but the audio is insanely quiet at max level and the audio quality is very poor! The BenQ projector I had before this got burnt up by a bad KVM Switch and seems to have been a far better product for a similar price. Do not buy this unless you are planning to hook into an external audio system!

NOT 4k, some upscaled 2k non sense in which you CANT choose your resolution or refresh rate so it sticks you with 60hz nothing other. the lower model functioned well this one wont give working options for 3d though it glitches and attempts to act like it does. over bright washed out slow input lag though it shows 4ms LOL yeah right,. Very bad $150 amazon special dont waste the trip on this trash.

The ViewSonic PX701-4K is designed for ambient light, whether for movies and video or for gaming. Most people will consider its out of box color accuracy more than acceptable for casual viewing with lights on. It can also serve as an inexpensive 4K projector for a home theater, especially after calibration.
