Canon Lens Hood EW-83P

Initial results have been very pleasing so far. Excellent compact, sharp and versatile lens. Noticeable difference in weight and size compared to my ef 16-35 f4 L plus the adaptor. Also, the extra 2° at the wide end makes quite a difference in the cover.

Een breed inzetbare goed gebalanceerde lens die optisch sterk is - hij is f/4 maar in groothoek is dat OK, zeker voor landschap, architectuur en algemene fotografie. Misschien wat zachter op 35 mm aan de randen, maar in veel scenario's zal dat niet opvallen. Het is mijn nieuwe standaard lens.

Ik heb deze lens nu een aantal weken in huis en afgelopen weekend heb ik hem voor het eerst wat uitgebreider uitgeprobeerd bij een project met straatinterviews, in combinatie met de Canon R7. Ik zie in een paar van de opnames een beetje focus breathing, maar ben verder heel blij met zowel de kwaliteit van de lens als met de stabilisatie die body en lens samen bieden. Ik heb tot nu toe nog niet veel foto's genomen met deze lens, maar ook wat dat betreft is mijn eerst eindruk positief. Het bereik van de lens is ook fijn, daardoor hoop ik er een leuk reismaatje aan te hebben.
