After extensive reading many tripod reviews I purchased the Benro TMA27C. I considered all well known brands and those I had never heard of like Benro. I have a Nikon Z6 and primarily wanted a CF tripod to use while shooting wildlife with my Tamron 150-600mm lens. I can set it up quickly and its rock solid. In my opinion its not heavy to carry. The leg diameter feels good, sturdy, well made and solid. At $275 it was a great value. On top I added the RRS BH40.

Feels and is very high quality, and comes with a quality bag and accessories not mentioned in the description, such as a tool bag. Its light also.

I already owned the aluminum version of this tripod and the only reason I bought this was to use as a backpacking tripod. It has a few issues, but so far all they have required is a little regular maintenance. the screw locks get sticky when you are using them in sand which I do quite often. I have to take them apart and clean the sand out. I know this has nothing to do with owning a tripod, but it looks really nice also.

This is a great value in tripods, its about 80-90 percent of the really right stuff tripods at a fraction of the cost. I needed something lighter for hiking yet substantial and this is fills the bill. The carbon fiber legs are excellent, and the hardware is of very good quality- not as nice as RRS but for the cost its very good Ive paired it with the RRS BH-40 head which is perfect. Be sure to remove the 3 screws with the included Allen wrench from the platform so that the ball head fits flush. I assume that these screws match up with Benro tripod heads only. The case is nice, and the option to transform one of the legs into a monopod is convenient
