So, I liked these shoes at first, except the laces threw me off. It never felt like I could get them to be tight enough on my feet. When they were tight enough, trying to store the excess lace in the “garage,” never worked well. The spare loop of lace would inevitably come out and I’d trip. But I persevered and kept on. Reader, I shouldn’t have. I am writing this from the ER after I tripped on my laces while running. The lace loop came out of its garage, caught on the tread of my opposite foot, and I tripped and broke my wrist catching myself. So, yea. The shoes are comfortable and the tread is great. But the lace design is garbage and a true hazard. I cannot recommend for that reason.

I’ve been a longtime fan of the Salomon Speedcross line, so I was excited to purchase a new pair—but unfortunately, this version feels different from previous ones. The most noticeable change is the width. I have a narrow foot with a high arch, and earlier versions fit me perfectly. This updated version is significantly wider, so while still comfortable, it no longer provides that secure, snug fit I’ve come to expect when lacing them up. I was also disappointed with the color. The “Ancient Water/Blue/Jewel” appears much lighter in person—the “Ancient Water” reads as a pale blue rather than the white shown online. They’re still quality shoes, but if you loved the previous fit or are expecting the exact color shown, it’s worth noting these differences.

At last, this color is back. This product is great and mature. ( haven't changed for several years and has no issues as far as i can tell)

Comfortable, excellent foot support, love the blue color, light pair of shoes. Use them everywhere. Love them happy to see the blue color back.

These shoes have accomodated the following issues: Different size feet, arches provide support without the need for orthodics, Closure easier for my arthritic hands,wide enough for bunion on 1 foot while being able to tighten up the narrower foot. Best hiking shoe ever! Wear it all day, including a 1.5 mile hike up a rough trail. Wish there was a dress shoe like these.
