Verbatim Metal Executive 16GB

I purchased a few of these. Some are used as boot flash drives for different utilities like Win10 installer, Macrium rescue, Gparted, and Clonezilla. All work flawlessly in that configuration under a USB 3.0 or a USB 2.0 port and boot up just fine with whatever utility I need. One I used as an MP3 storage drive for my parent's car--in which said parents were aghast that it didn't come with a CD player. Being stunned as they were that CD's are obsolete it was easy enough to rip their CDs to this drive (with a lot of space to spare for future music for them), plug it into their car, and them having all of their music at their fingertips. Would definitely recommend if 16GB is enough for your use. It's small, rugged enough, and unobtrusive on a keychain.

So far this has worked well and I like the appearance of it. But it has a flaw. It is *very* difficult to push in and very difficult to remove from any computer (as if it is just a little bit too large). So it's working ok, but I wonder if it is going to damage the unit I'm using it on, because it takes so much muscle to make it fit and remove it. Long term, that concerns me. If it weren't for that, I'd give it 5 stars.

Works great and so small fits on key ring without interfering with keys. Made of strong metal, not the cheap plastic like on so many other thumb drives.

Great speed writing and reading. If your computer has USB3 capability, you will benefit by USB3 drives.

works well. dissipates heat well. this has been used ad a backup system drive in an edgerouter.lite.
