The only minor issues with the Apricorn Aegis Secure Key 120 GB FIPS 140-2 Level 3 Validated 256-bit Encryption USB 3.0 Flash Drive is black (painted) color begins to rub off over time and does tend to get warm rather quickly. Other than that the product is extremely well built and is reliable.

Not sure what the problem was, but the device doesn't seem to be recognized as bootable by any of my systems (mac, linux desktop, laptop). Sad, but still a useful device with great features and sturdy construction.

If you need to make sure your data is secure in case of loss of the device or just when you leave it on the desk at the office, this is worth the price. I've had the 256 GB (244 usable) for over 2 years now and it's still working well. It travels in my pocket daily and gets plugged into multiple computers in the course of a day. If you need security for your data, this is definitely one way to go.

In my opinion, Apricorn is one of the top manufacturers of this type of product. Use is easy but programming take of bit of study because of the myriad of options available. Including a separate, "dooms day" "entry" code that wipes the contents and shows an empty drive. Separate "Administrator" and multiple "User" codes with administrated delineated privileges.
