De Sony Bravia KD-75X75WL (2023) biedt een indrukwekkend groot 75 inch 4K-scherm met levendige kleuren en scherpe details dankzij de X1-processor en Dolby Vision. De smart-functies zijn uitgebreid met Google TV, AirPlay en Chromecast, en het geluid is bovengemiddeld goed voor deze prijsklasse. Nadelen zijn de matige zwartweergave door het IPS-paneel, een beperkte verversingssnelheid van 60Hz en het ontbreken van Freeview Play. Ook ontbreekt local dimming, waardoor het contrast minder diep is dan bij premium modellen. Dit model is vooral geschikt voor wie een groot, veelzijdig smart-tv-platform zoekt en minder waarde hecht aan perfecte zwartwaarden of high-end gaming.

This is a good device rather spoiled by its controls and documentation. First I discovered that there is no port for wired headphones, and had to invest in new Bluetooth 'phones. Even though I am not totally incompetent technically, it took me several days to work out how to obtain a connection. The printed user guide is almost useless. Lots of information exists on the internet, but most of it relates to controls from older models, quite different from the current one. So after a week I still could not persuade the television to use the ethernet connection, I had to reset all the channels using the terrestrial aerial each day, and I could not get FreeSat working. I had to call for help from an aerial company. I am sure that other purchasers have better technical skills than me, but I have never had difficulties with new televisions in the past.

We needed a replacement TV for an 8 year old Sony which was grinding to a halt. This replacement was very easy to set up with many apps already installed. Intuitive to customise. Vision and speech were out of sinc when using our soundbar but a little delving and internet research enabled me to fix it. And I'm no IT geek!
