De Xiaomi Redmi Pad SE biedt verrassend veel waar voor zijn geld als budgettablet onder de 250 euro. Het aluminium unibody voelt premium aan en het 90Hz scherm is prettig vloeiend voor dagelijks gebruik. De batterij gaat gemakkelijk meerdere dagen mee bij normaal gebruik. Echter, de grafische prestaties zijn beperkt - games draaien wel, maar op lagere instellingen met minder mooie graphics. Ook ontbreken moderne beveiligingsopties zoals een vingerafdrukscanner. Het opladen duurt lang door de beperkte 10W ondersteuning. Voor intensief gamen of productief werken met stylus en toetsenbord is deze tablet minder geschikt. Maar voor entertainment zoals Netflix, YouTube, websurfen en e-mail is het een uitstekende keuze met solide prestaties in de Snapdragon 680 processor.

If you think an iPad mini is too expensive an investment, this is a solid tablet in a similarly compact form factor. But the list of things we wish were better is long. Everything from a tired old chipset and slow storage to a low-res screen and poor audio. You can’t ask for much at this price, but it’s worth spending slightly more to get a better tablet overall.

This tablet is outstanding value. Ok,let's say from the outset,this is not an all sing dancing device,you wouldn't expect that at this price. If you just want a tablet to view You Tube,web browse, social media, pictures, then really at this price,look no further. 4 speakers deliver great sound,refresh at 90 HZ and the transfer from my old tablet was a piece of cake. I don't do gaming and reading other reviews,this is not the tablet for you if you do. Quite simply,this is a superb tablet for the price. Thinking of buying? Don't hesitate,do it.
