De Xiaomi Redmi Pad SE biedt een opmerkelijk goede prijs-kwaliteitverhouding voor een budgettablet onder €230. Het 11-inch 90Hz scherm is helder (400 nits) en voldoende scherp voor multimedia, terwijl de aluminium behuizing verrassend hoogwaardig aanvoelt. De batterij van 8000mAh presteert uitstekend met meerdere dagen gebruik, maar het trage 10W opladen is een nadeel. Voor dagelijks gebruik zoals Netflix, YouTube en browsen is de Snapdragon 680 processor adequaat, maar de zwakke GPU maakt het ongeschikt voor intensieve games. De vier speakers met Dolby Atmos zijn een pluspunt, evenals de microSD-uitbreiding en koptelefoonaansluiting. Let op: geen vingerafdrukscanner, alleen basis camera's, en tragere eMMC-opslag. Ideaal voor casual entertainment en lichte productiviteit, minder geschikt als gaming- of werktablet.

If you think an iPad mini is too expensive an investment, this is a solid tablet in a similarly compact form factor. But the list of things we wish were better is long. Everything from a tired old chipset and slow storage to a low-res screen and poor audio. You can’t ask for much at this price, but it’s worth spending slightly more to get a better tablet overall.

This tablet is outstanding value. Ok,let's say from the outset,this is not an all sing dancing device,you wouldn't expect that at this price. If you just want a tablet to view You Tube,web browse, social media, pictures, then really at this price,look no further. 4 speakers deliver great sound,refresh at 90 HZ and the transfer from my old tablet was a piece of cake. I don't do gaming and reading other reviews,this is not the tablet for you if you do. Quite simply,this is a superb tablet for the price. Thinking of buying? Don't hesitate,do it.
