Having just received it My first use was memorial day 10:30pm in the aftermath of a Tornado that destroyed most of our neighborhood. Instructions/menus are as complicated as the sony itself but once figured out it has been a very good unit with plenty of power. 4 stars not because of build or performance but only on Instructions/menu.

I am new to flash so I dont know if I have a super helpful review, but I got this with the X1T-S remote. I was using the Lumopro LP180 before and the radio transmitter was not compatible with this flash. Had I known about this one beforehand, I wouldve gone with these over the Lumopro system. These are a little cheaper and they come with TTL. SO handy. The only thing this doesnt do (that Im aware of) is rotate so you can fire it to the side instead of straight angles (if that makes sense). Thats not a deal breaker to me for the price because I use modifiers or take it off camera.

I used these on stands with the xpros on my a7rii. Although there is an advertised quick recycle rate, I had to wait 1 minute or else the flashes wouldnt go off. Otherwise everything is great.

This is the second godox thinklite TTll flash that I have purchased. The first was for canon and now this is for SONY yo go with my new SONY alpha 7-III. Both of these flashes have performed well over the time that I have been using them. Battery life is excellent, very short re-cycle time, and both seem to be made very well, They have a really solid feel, and the price can not be beat especially compared to the OEM flashes for both Canon and SONY. Perhaps most importantly is the fact that in operation, they are very consistent in terms of exposure, and use with the radio control features. The lighting is even across the entire image size ranging from 20mm thru 400mm. Lighting is uniform across the entire image at all focal lengths. I strongly recommend them.

I lost mine for about a month and found it again on a partially melted snow bank. It survived lots of rain, lots of snow and exposure to -15 degree cold. I blotted it dry and it responded as if it were new.
