De Garmin Fēnix 8 Solar 51 mm is een topklasse GPS-horloge met een uitzonderlijk lange batterijduur, vooral dankzij zonne-energie. Het horloge is extreem robuust door het saffierglas en de titanium behuizing, en biedt uitgebreide sport-, outdoor- en gezondheidsfuncties. Het heldere display en de ingebouwde zaklamp zijn zeer praktisch, net als de ondersteuning voor bellen, muziek, kaarten en contactloos betalen. Nadelen zijn het forse gewicht en formaat, de hoge prijs, en het gebruik van een eigen oplaadkabel die niet altijd stevig blijft zitten. Ook ontbreekt directe LTE-connectiviteit, waardoor je voor sommige functies afhankelijk blijft van je smartphone. Voor wie maximale prestaties en duurzaamheid zoekt, is dit horloge een uitstekende keuze, maar het is minder geschikt voor wie een compact of betaalbaar model zoekt.

Very tough watch. The sapphire screen is literally indestructible. The two available apps makes it very easy to use and change faces. You could last for months in the mountains with a single charge. Definitely recommend to so someone who wants the best.

Great watch for training and health tracking. Personally, I prefer MIP over amoled - find it easier to read the display while running. Battery life is just unreal (compared ty my Apple watch).

Great watch. Does everything I want plus loads more. Has a great battery life, compared to my old vivoactive 4. Love the torch.
