De Oakley MOD1 is een lichtgewicht ski- en snowboardhelm met een laagprofiel skate-geïnspireerd ontwerp dat vooral populair is bij parkrijders en all-mountain gebruikers die een eenvoudige, comfortabele helm zoeken. Het BOA 360° fitsysteem maakt het gemakkelijk om de pasvorm nauwkeurig rond het hele hoofd af te stellen, terwijl de verwijderbare oorpads en voering het onderhoud en het aanpassen aan verschillende weersomstandigheden eenvoudig maken. De integratie met Oakley-brillen is goed en de oorpads zijn zo ontworpen dat er weinig druk op de oren ontstaat, wat bijdraagt aan draagcomfort en gehoor. Aan de andere kant biedt de helm slechts basisventilatie via enkele vaste openingen, waardoor hij minder goed te reguleren is bij sterk wisselende temperaturen. Ook zijn er geen geïntegreerde audiomogelijkheden en zijn de materialen en het beschermingsniveau eenvoudiger dan bij premium helmen met uitgebreidere technologie, waardoor deze helm vooral interessant is voor rijders die een betrouwbare basishelm met een scherpe prijs-prestatieverhouding zoeken.

I purchased this ski helmet, excited to finally try skiing with it for the first time. However, my experience quickly turned from excitement to fear due to a critical failure of this helmet during my very first use. As the picture shows, the helmet cracked almost completely through after what should have been a manageable fall. This level of damage is unacceptable for a product meant to protect your head during high-impact sports. The integrity of the helmet's material was clearly subpar, leaving me questioning its safety standards. A helmet is a crucial safety tool for skiing, and this one failed spectacularly when I needed it most. Fortunately, I wasn't seriously injured, but this incident could have ended much worse. I cannot recommend this product to anyone and strongly urge the manufacturer to reevaluate the design and materials used. Safety should never be compromised, and this product missed the mark entirely. Do not risk your well-being with this helmet!

I measured my head and the helmet fit my head perfectly. But the ear flaps stuck out too far and are not flush to my ears. They would not keep my ears warn. Returned.
