Makita Haakse slijper 125mm 1400W

Bought this grinder because of Makita's reputation and personal experience with their tools (cordless drills still working after 15years!). This grinder has been great up until 5 minutes ago when it stopped in the middle of cutting through a rusted hinge. I've only used it a couple of times over the past few months. Still under warranty so hoping there's no issue with repair or replacement but this is a major disappointment for a $200 grinder! Ok. I increased rating from 1 star to 3. Makita service called me back a day later and repaired it free of charge. Defective motor brush assembly. Can't give it anything more than 3 stars as this shouldn't have happened in the first place though.

Lasted for a year and one month. Used it maybe a total of 5 or 6 times. Started smoking from inside last time I was using it so I immediately stopped to let it cool. Now doesn't work at all, can't spin. A measly one year warranty is a disappointment on a $200 grinder.
