Makita - Schaaf 500 W, 82 mm M1902

my husband used this product for one of his jobs and he loved how well it worked to get the job done

I bought this planer because only this model would work on a scarfing jig I was using. It did the job well, but the absence of a dust collection system made a major mess in my shop. I will probably never use it again--not because it is an inferior planer, but because I have a Bosch planer with a dust collection port that makes much less of a mess.

Lots of power, easy to set up and adjust, seems to be built to last. Changing blades is very easy as well.

vendordid not send all items listed on the product description and after sending several emails to Amazon and vendor, received just one canned response. Learned a lesson and will not be ordering from Amazon again....

Makita makes another great tool. Great for trimming doors down. Recommend light cuts otherwise you might cut at an angle. Leave nice finish and a must for you toolbox.
