HP DesignJet 36-inch rolinvoeras

after a couple years I had to spend $550.00 (bought from HP) a 'printhead replacement kit' it has FAILED again . VERY fragile . and HP charges about 10x too much for their ink . I will NEVER waste my money on ANYTHING HP ever again . ... I plan to cut my losses and throw this plotter in the garbage .

This printer is a medocre large format printer. The biggest problem is they actually can lock out any functionality if you use generic inks. I tried to use their brand after getting nowhere and having the printer completly go offline from one generic color ink. Even with their inks installed I still had to call and be chastised on the phone from their rep. I am not donating this printer, not selling it, not even giving it away. I took it to the electronics recycling depot after i took a bat to it "Office Space" style. The hours wasted on this piece of garbage are real and not worth your hassle. Go somewhere else for a large format printer.

The last two 24" spindles I purchased were incorrect items- twice. The first of the two , phone support said either one would work as there are two listed on web site. That is incorrect. Neither works. I still not have correct product. In addition I can not get reliable tech support for the actual printer- I need help with software, I can not get any answers. The HP phone + online chat support is the worst experience in support I have ever witnessed- literally the worst. Several times I have called, each time I have been transferred 4-6 times- then either got incorrect info or got too tired of waiting . HP makes great products- but there support is a dump, I really hope they fix it so I can remain a loyal long term customer.

I purchased a HP T120 printer second hand but it had no spindle. Perfect fit no issues.

When my mate of 15 years, HP-DJ450-C, was forcefully removed from my clutches after it's passing, i was told to plot onward (..all of course within the office budget). Then, along came this HP-DJ520 24"... With her speed, onboard GUI, and stunningly good looks, I instantly found myself drawn to her qualities. Some nights, i lay awake pondering what files i can spool her way. ahh yes...I have been using her more than i ever used ...ol'what's-its-name.. Late evenings, plotting away at work, have never been so meaningful! She's not been temperamental with me, just diligent, vibrant, and i find myself always picking up what she's putting down... ..Really, i do need to remember to extend that catch... I fully recommend this plotter. Keep spare inks & rolls on hand, and monitor her levels; she won't let you down!
