Epson Expression Photo XP-970

Previously, I owned a Expression Photo XP-960 and loved it. It lasted 9 years before the print pads wore out. This printer is the successor to that one, and never thought Epson could improve on the original, but they did with the XP-970. Super easy to install the printer both via USB and Wireless setup. The print quality is even improved from my original. Photo quality is better than ever and faster as well. This is a super printer...especially if you print photos. Text is excellent as well

Vergeleken met mijn vorige printer met meerdere papierladen en speciaal voor foto's: veel handelingen nodig met de papierladen en de uitvoerlade, die onhandig dicht onder elkaar zitten. Lijkt kwetsbaar.

I have been looking for a printer to build collages and print specific print sizes for my frames. I already have two brother printers but they were overly fussy. This, coupled with Epson’s software, just made everything idiot proof. Really enjoying printing those iPhone moments and sharing around the house. Now to scan in the 2000 photos in hard copy only…

Over the years I hate printers but this one Epson XP-970 is easy to set up. With the added bonus of a touch screen direct control of printer is a must when you re unsure of instructions from laptop or iPad. It s in the house and its low level design ensures it does not look like a mini white robot. I needed it for Wi-Fi connectivity directly to my IPad and able to print A3 drawings so this printer ticked my boxes

Bought this to replace my XP-720 which stopped feeding paper. Yes it worked OK but I feel the build quality is not as good as the old one, the screen panel has to be closed manually on shutdown unlike the XP-720, it is noisy by comparison and takes a long time to get going again after an ink cartridge change. lastly the old one never gave a problem with compatible cartridges, this one is now sitting idle because the cartridges I bought with it will not be recognised.
