Canon Maxify MB5450

Bought this as a direct replacement to my last Canon printer. Does everything I need and saves me loads of time. Ordering went very well and printer arrived ahead of schedule.

Very noisy & very slow printer! Disappointing to say the least

Installeren op Wifi gaat vlot. Kleurenprint op gewoon papier is matig, maar op fotopapier zeer goed, vergelijkbaar met de Ip7250 van Canon, die ik gebruik als fotoprinter (geen scanner). Dubbelzijdig scannen en printen is makkelijk en zeer vlot. Instellingen zijn in het begin best lastig, ondanks het duidelijke en overzichtelijke aanraakschermpje en de uitvoerige gebruiksaanwijzing. Door de vele functies en twee papierladen, waarvan er een voor fotopapier kan worden ingesteld, is het apparaat nogal fors, dus niet geschikt voor huiskamergebruik.Dure inktcassettes, maar die zijn zo groot, dat de printprijs vrij laag is.

This printer is useless. It jams almost every time I use it and I am constantly having to clean the head. Definitely not fit for purpose. Strongly recommend that you do not buy this, I am about to throw mine in the skip.

Do not use compatible cartridges with this printer. They are not recognised and lock the printer up. thiscannot be reset by user! The very pleasant lady at canon support centre advised me that to get the thing working again would require an engineer repair, for which I needed to phone another number (not open weekends) and am now faced with sending the printer to Woking. Not a good experience of the product design nor support arrangements. Sort of puts me off buying any other canon product from now.
