I bought the technics 1500 C direct drive turntable As a follow one from my original techniques 1200 mk2 The turntable works like a dream, excellent economics to operate, and the built-in phono amp meant plug-in play with my Naim system. The Ortofon cartridge is excellent. Altogether a brilliant product and I’m now back, listening to my vinyl

Having been a DJ for 50 years and needing a new turntable for personal use, it seemed logical to go with Technics minus the bells and whistles. It's a great unit and the direct drive somehow makes the sound solid and stable compared to belt drive. Reassuringly heavy, feedback is non existent and there's no detectable rumble. The negatives: auto stop takes ages to function, the supplied leads are a bit naff and the cartridge should have been a 2m blue (the red is usually supplied with considerably cheaper tables). Leads and cartridge will be the first upgrade, I can live with the auto stop.

I bought the technics sl-1500c turntable a month ago, together with an Ortofon concorde bronze on offer at half price. The combo is really nice. Vinyls sound now way more clearer than in my previous project t1. Really happy with the purchase. Super quick delivery also.
