Rochas Moustache Eau de Parfum staat bekend als een warme amber-houtige mannengeur met citrus in de opening, een vleug roos in het hart en een romige mix van hout, patchouli en vanille in de basis. Veel gebruikers prijzen vooral de hoge kwaliteit voor de relatief lage prijs en noemen het een betaalbaar alternatief voor YSL Tuxedo. De geur blijft meestal rond de acht uur aanwezig, met een nette maar geen extreem sterke projectie, waardoor hij goed werkt op kantoor en in sociale situaties. Wel vinden sommige dragers hem wat volwassen of klassiek, en in warme zomerdagen kan hij snel te zwaar worden. Ook kan de rijke compositie overweldigend zijn als je te royaal sprayt, en wie juist heel simpele, frisse geuren zoekt, zal deze complexe, gelaagde stijl mogelijk minder waarderen.

De parfum heeft een erg muffe geur. Na het opzoeken van het batch-nummer blijkt dat deze parfum geproduceerd is op 13/09/2018.. Meer dan 5,5 jaar oud dus... Na een aantal jaren gaat de geur van een parfum er op achter uit, dat is met deze dus gebeurd.

Moustache EdP is, at the closest, a highly abstract take on the original. With sweet mandarin in place of the reference sharp citruses and amped-up vanilla in the base (and, I suspect, some uncredited cashmeran), it’s a nearly gourmand interpretation of Moustache. Which is to say, barely Moustache at all. Change the name and bottle, and you have a perfectly nice scent—warm, smooth, and passably naturalistic as modern woody ambers go. At under $40 for 75ml from popular discounters, it’s a decent value: I’ve sampled a whole lot of fragrances that cost a lot more and smell a lot worse, so it gets a thumbs-up. That said, it’s not so distinctive that I need a bottle. I’ll stick with vintage Moustache.

I'll keep it short, the scent is not really very special in my opinion, but it has a certain delicious freshness, very lemony, and if you wait long enough, musk comes through. It is not intrusive at all and thus wearable in many situations, even for sports. I like it; it has something mature and smells modest yet also composed. Overall, a great scent for the price.

It is in my top 3 winter favorites. It is a warm and sweet fragrance. The pink pepper, the rose, the wood and the benzoin combination is just fantastic for cold time. I got very good projection 4/5, good sillage 3/5 and moderate projection 2.5/5
