Mandarina Duck Pure Black is een zoete, gourmand mannengeur met een frisse citrusopening die overgaat in een romige mix van tonkaboon, vanille en zachte bloemen.[2][6][9] Veel reviewers omschrijven het als een aangename, toegankelijke geur met een warm, licht kruidig karakter dat doet denken aan populaire designergeuren, maar dan voor een veel lagere prijs.[2][6][8][10] Daardoor wordt de prijs-kwaliteitverhouding vaak als sterk punt genoemd. De keerzijde is de prestatie: meerdere bronnen melden een gemiddelde projectie en een draagduur van ongeveer vier tot vijf uur, waarna vooral een zachte vanillebasis overblijft.[2][6][9] Ook wordt regelmatig geklaagd over de goedkope afwerking van de flacon en de losse dop.[2] Verder vinden sommige liefhebbers dat de geur wat diepte mist en niet het niveau haalt van duurdere tonka- of vanillegeuren.[2][9] Voor kopers die een betaalbare, zoete avond- of casual geur zoeken en geen top-prestaties eisen, blijft het echter een aantrekkelijke optie.

Pure Black - always with me, always in the glove compartment. In my opinion, it's a perfect all-rounder that works almost anytime. The sweet opening initially reminds one of One Million, which is not necessarily a bad thing. Subsequently, the vanilla notes and tonka bean unfold more and more. The orange is also noticeable, but in my opinion, not too much. The sad part about it, however, is unfortunately the longevity. After about 3-4 hours, the scent "gives up" and you can hardly smell it anymore. All in all, I would say that the price/performance ratio is definitely right here. €30 for 100ml is more than fair.

This was a a blind buy and I got lucky; now it’s not a bad scent it’s not a great one either. Its a calm woodsy clean thing it’s not something I would reach for every day but I’d reach for it if I want something else

This stuff is an amazing gall fragrance. I would also wear it in summer. Great all around smell and lasts long and great projection.
