Halston Z-14 is een klassieke mannengeur uit de jaren 70 met scherpe citrus, groene cypres, hout en leer. Veel reviewers noemen hem krachtig, zeer mannelijk en verrassend langdurig voor een eau de cologne, met 6 tot 7 uur draagduur en sterke projectie. De prijs-kwaliteit wordt vaak geprezen, zeker omdat het een herkenbare, karaktervolle geur is die nog steeds complimenten kan opleveren. Tegelijk is de stijl duidelijk vintage: de scherpe groene opening en het leer kunnen ouderwets of zelfs te luid aanvoelen, vooral voor wie moderne, zoetere geuren gewend is. De geur werkt beter in koelere seizoenen en meer formele of zakelijke situaties dan in hitte, sport of heel nauwe ruimtes. Voor liefhebbers van klassieke, gedurfde herengeuren is dit echter een interessante en betaalbare keuze.

The only cologne I wear for over 40 years. It mixes with my body chemistry and gives a scent that has always gotten me compliments. My clothes smell fantastic too. I’ll hopefully wear Z-14 for another 40 years. Well, ok, another 20 years, I’m old. Lol

I love this fragrance. I always gravitate towards the amber and woods in perfumes and colognes. I was happy when my husband said he used to wear it all the time and loved it as well. So I had to purchase a bottle for him, and it brought back a lot of memories for the both of us! It is still a great fragrance for everyday, or special evenings.
