Gucci Guilty Absolute Pour Homme is een zeer droge, leerachtige herengeur met veel vetiver en hout, die duidelijk afwijkt van de typische zoete of frisse designerparfums. Veel kenners prijzen de originaliteit en het niche-achtige karakter, maar benadrukken ook dat de geur erg uitdagend en polariserend is. De compositie is vrij lineair: wat je in het begin ruikt, blijft grotendeels hetzelfde tot in de drydown. De levensduur wordt meestal omschreven als goed, al vinden sommige gebruikers de projectie en sillage eerder gemiddeld voor deze prijsklasse. A quieter, creamier, more complex version of Gucci Pour Homme I with the pencil shaving note turned down, and a soft but potent leather accord added. Where the dry down of GPH I is unchanging and linear, Guilty Absolute evolves slowly to reveal its patchouli and vetiver heart while never dropping the aromatic woods and leather. The only con? Not a strong projector but for me at least, this is more desirable than the overpriced GPH I. Or II. Too bad Gucci discontinues the best things they put out.
