Silicon Power Armor A30 HDD-behuizing Wit 2,5"

This is the second one I bought. I am happy I own this and super sturdy.

I've had this drive for less than four months. Without dropping it or exposing it to water or any other act of god, the drive stops working and I lose over a months work and over a years worth of photography. I am extremely disappointed in this drive and the lackluster response from Silicon Power, who offered me next to nothing for their failed product. I cannot recommend this drive or using this company to anyone.

I like the ruggedness and 3.1 cable. With a Type C USB 3.1 Type C Female to USB 3.0 A Male adapter, I can finally plug it into conventional laptop without twisting the cord or turning the drive upside down. I like the textured surface and color. I have a black/orange one as well. I checked the model number online and see the HDD is a Seagate. I formatted it to BTRFS and am using it for Clonezilla images and Timeshift rsync restore points. It's impressively fast for a 5400 RPM drive.

Came just as expected! I like that it also comes with both the standard USB cord and the USB C cord so that I can use it with my 2017 MacBook Pro without an adapter.

This item fell down 2 steps and stopped working. Definitely not military grade shock proof!!
