Fujifilm Fujinon XF2X TC WR Teleconverter

Deze converter is heel handig bij de 300mm lens, met weinig extra gewicht kun je onderwerpen nog dichterbij halen. Ook voor macrofotografie. Het enige nadeel is dat het diafragmagetal omhoog gaat en je achtergrond minder mooi onscherp wordt.

Im an amateur photographer that take pics of nature and sports. I use this in combination with my 70/140 Fuji lens. Work perfect as all other Fuji products, really sharp. Caveats: the gear will become bulky and reduce 2 Fstops. Basically this is more oriented to outdoors and dark skies where you compensate with long exposures or plenty of light. Love it already.

As are my other Fuji optics, this TC is very well made - tightly fitting on both the 100-400 and the 50-140 with effectively zero slop or play. And the optics are outstanding - sure it's a little pricey but I'm glad I got it as having the image on the sensor maximized when taking the shot makes for better output than cropping the recorded image.

I have only been using this teleconverter for a couple of weeks and only with the Fuji XF 100-400mm lens on an X-T1 body. The good: You can definitely shoot long. I can go out to 800mm to capture wildlife. Basically plug and play. Mount the teleconverter and the lens, aim and shoot. The not so good. As I continue to use the teleconverter I believe my rating will go higher. You lose 2 stops across all focal lengths. At a lens focal length of 100mm I start at F/8 and at 400mm I am at F/11 as the widest aperture. At 400mm lens focal length I am shooting at 800mm which means I need at least 1/800 shutter speed hand holding. This translates to higher ISO and noise. Shooting higher that ISO 1200 with the X-T1 there is visible noise and over ISO 1600 I consider the image almost unsuable. You either need to be rock solid when hand holding or you need a tripod or monopod.

Goed doordachte constructie, en ondanks het verlies van 2 f-stops licht gaat het scherpstellen goed. Op de XF 100-400 is overigens geen fasedetectie beschikbaar met deze teleconverter. Met dit glas werk is astro-fotografie ook op een betrekkelijk eenvoudige manier mogelijk en levert schitterende afbeeldingen met ongelofelijk veel detail!
