I never had a lens wider than 17mm before so the barrel distortion @ 11mm on this lens makes me nervous about the quality of the lens. Please see uploaded image. Does this degree of the distortion on this lens look normal to everyone? Does anyone think that my copy of the lens is actually defective? I would appreciate it if anyone would share their thoughts and comments. The main purpose of owning this lens is for interior architecture photography. I first started noticing significant barrel distortion on this lens when I tried to photo the drop ceiling opening perpendicular to the image sensor plane. The straight lines around the edges turned to arches. It defeated the purpose of the photo and the photo became unuseful.

Good Points: It is a Stunning Lens, everything is just spot on, costly, but you get your moneys worth of quality, if not more, a truly great product. Improvement Points: No, as I said, costly, but quality comes at a price

This lens has simply no comparison with similar products. It paid itself with the first new customer (architectural photo), which was enthusiast of the results.

Stunning. Super sharp. Heavy. Yeah, it's all been said before. But you'll still be blown away at how you can compose with this thing. A MUST if you do architectural or real estate shoots. It totally adds a new dimension to creating scenes. Learning to use this thing will be like learning to compose all over again. It's big bucks, but nothing, and I mean NOTHING comes even close.
