I looked up a lot of small switches and found this one. The TP-Link 8-Port Gigabit switch works great and had held up to all the reviews I read so far. Everything just works! I cant say anything bad about this device and highly recommend it.

This switch has a lot of software shortcomings. It likes to randomly forget after you save configs. It will randomly freeze up and stop working when you are doing the configs. And I purchased several of these and each have their own little issues. I would not buy these again

performs great, the fan never shuts off this has me think will this work in a year or 2.

Zeer snelle en uitgebreide managed switch. De royaal bemeten processor doet zijn werk goed. Geen actieve koeling, dus geen gesuis, en de gehele behuizing blijft toch koel. Het is even wennen dat instellingen bij aanpassing meteen actief worden, dus geen expliciete "apply" knop, en dat je (elders in het menu) na enige aanpassing de algehele configuratie expliciet moet opslaan, want na een stroomonderbreking wordt de laatst bewaarde configuratie ingeladen. Ik gebruik de switch om mijn standaard glasvezelmodem te onlasten, door televisie buiten het modem om te laten lopen, maar toch via één poort zowel iTV als iNET samen aan te bieden aan het lokale netwerk, te weten aan een powerline adapter. Last but not least zorgen de firewall en filtering functies op Level 2 (data link, MAC) niveau voor een extra stukje veiligheid. Erg handig om P2P te downloaden en toch grappenmakers buiten de deur te houden.
