With almost 50years of motorcycle riding experience my focus is more on riding defensively and safely and only pushing to the (my) limits on track days. I have not done a track day on this set of tyres yet so cannot claim to have tested their abilities. That said, I have ridden in wet and dry weather conditions without any concerns over grip or stability. At this stage tyre wear appears good, as I would expect from Conti's, with no sign of squaring off. I am very happy with these tyres and am planning on replacing them with more of the same when the time comes.

Feeling that you have to refrain from using the rear brake because the tire wears too quickly. Same with acceleration. The tire looks ok when it is new and as an argument "new tire" it works but once you start driving with it, the experience is that the material is thin and insufficient. The same make and tires were the same and even though it LOOKS like there is material, you are almost unpleasantly surprised how quickly it is gone and the cords start to show. If you want to sell these tires, it must be at least 3 mm more material and possibly a little better wear properties. Michelin on other motorcycles and more horsepower clearly hold up better. I will probably have to use Michelin, which I have on a couple of other bikes. The price becomes relatively expensive with so little material and a nightmare for those who do not change the tires themselves because the change itself should also be included in the total cost.

Bearing in mind being a motorcycle rider with limited experience, the only noticable drawback with the Continental Motion is perhaps the compound is slightly edged towards performance which increases wear. Perhaps this is normal although my riding style is .... how should i say, .... reserved even careful and therefore do not get full use from high performance tyres. Tyre dimension option not possible:- 140/70/17

Nothing that you might have to push too much either in curves, gas and brake. I think the tire wears too fast and manufacturers could have put on a little more and a little better rubber than what is currently available. Should be able to be significantly better durability with a little will. The picture is the tire before and there it ended up "all of a sudden" when I was out on a fairly round and there is never anything that makes me "burn tires" intentionally, so when it starts to drop in fairly light curves, it was down in the cord a bit on the verge of surprisingly fast. It is possible to fool around with such a tire, but it is nothing to have if you want to be a little more active in driving. Cheap, works but just the amount of rubber is awfully small way too fast. Probably one of the many "tire sales tricks" that make the price lower.
