Asus PRIME Z790-A WIFI DDR5

Everything's pretty good, except for the Bluetooth, which is a total flop for any device connected to it: keyboard, mouse, Xbox controller... Nothing works properly! Move the antenna? No effect at all. I had to disable the one on the motherboard and dig out my old Ugreen Bluetooth dongle to fix the problem. What a shame! I'd just wanted to get rid of it because it was temperamental with Xbox controllers... Well, here we go again. And yet everything was up to date: latest motherboard driver, latest BIOS... No improvement. As for the motherboard software under Windows 11, it's an absolute horror. An unmanageable gas factory, and to top it all off, uninstalling it is a nightmare: you have to disable functions directly in the BIOS. Honestly? Total disappointment. I'm keeping 3 stars because everything else is good, apart from the fact that it's impossible to disable the lights on the cm when it's in standby mode.

I bought speakers with an optical output to take advantage of this technology, which I have on my two old PCs ... but now Asus has decided to go back 10 years in its sound connections on this card ...

Perfect with the configuration I've made... The LEDs are quite discreet, which is perfect for my use (medical)...

A sober, pure motherboard, a bit of RGB but not too much, integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, looks great in a white case (Lian Li O11D for me). On the other hand, the Armoury Crate software is a disaster, impossible to get it to work properly with iCue to control the RGB.

Everything is perfect, nothing to report, received on time (quickly), quick and easy payment. Product in perfect condition.
