De Xiaomi Redmi A3 4GB+128GB valt op door zijn grote 90Hz scherm en sterke batterij, waardoor hij geschikt is voor dagelijks gebruik en mediaconsumptie. Het toestel draait op Android 14 en krijgt drie jaar updates, wat zeldzaam is in deze prijsklasse. Je kunt het geheugen uitbreiden tot 1TB, handig voor wie veel foto's of apps wil opslaan. De prestaties zijn echter beperkt: bij zware apps of games merk je vertragingen en de camera's maken slechts redelijke foto's. Ook ontbreekt NFC, wat mobiel betalen onmogelijk maakt, en het scherm is lastig te lezen in fel zonlicht. Voor wie een betaalbare smartphone zoekt voor basisgebruik, is dit een solide keuze, maar verwacht geen topprestaties.

phone works as well as you would think it would. i can receive calls and make calls, use the data but for some reason it would let me receive text messages. so not great for the time being

I try to download some app is can't download, that's write down this phone isn't compatible with this app. I can't believe it. Is not a games app is bank app also cannot download. So I just give to phone for my kid for only used watch YouTube and calling.

Okay phone for child or as a spare if your phone breaks, no NFC so cannot use contact less payments. Little laggy, value for money is okay

This phone is a very solid one and it is very quick and responsive. I did get rid of a lot of extra guff installed on it though as I don't really need any of that extra stuff. Only downside is I can't uninstall a number of Google apps etc, but I'm not going to lose a star for that as its Googles fault not Xiaomi's. Battery life is excellent and lasts ages on standby.
